Holiday Season

I'm so sad fall is almost over. It was so cold today I feel like we're almost past just sweaters and sweatshirts... and I HATE bulky winter coats. :( But with the passing of fall comes HOLIDAY SEASON and CHRISTMAS SHOPPING. :) I have a show this Saturday (October 30th) from 10-4 at the IUPUI Student Center on Vermont and University. Admission is free so come out and support handmade. :)

I'm working on a few home parties for this winter as well, so if you'd like to host one and earn free jewelry - contact me asap! My schedule is filling up quickly. :) I'll also have a booth at the Hendrick's County Holiday Fair and the Southport "That Something Special" show. Message me or comment for details now - I'll be posting more information as they get closer. :)

I'm also very excited to be spending Halloween weekend with some of my favorite friends in Brown County. It's SO beautiful there, and it only seems right to spend a night in the middle of the woods the night before Halloween. :)

Posted is a picture from our night's stay at the haunted Story Inn. More pictures on my facebook page. :)

October!

I'm so excited for this weekend! A group of friend and I are going to Story, Indiana to stay in their Haunted Inn! Check it out here! It's completely in the middle of the country and the whole small town has been restored into cabins and the inn you can stay at. The Inn is supposedly haunted by the Blue Lady - and we'll be staying right next to her room. There are no alarm clocks, tv's, refrigerators etc. We'll have to get dinner in Nashville or Bloomington and bring coolers for drinks and games to keep ourselves entertained. I could not be more excited. It's the perfect way to celebrate fall! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about the potential shopping in Nashville the next day too. :)

Autumn always makes me feel nostalgic, probably from the fairs and outdoor festivals in old towns. I love things with history; that tell a story. I recently purchased a box of old slides from an estate sale, and I've been totally inspired to work them into a new jewelry line. I've started making looking glass photo slide jewelry. I'm absolutely in love with them - it's like being allowed just a glimpse into someone's past and carrying it around with you. Taking someone else's memory and adding to it with your own experiences while you wear the piece. They are all long chain's (25" - but can be requested at other lengths) Each necklace is one of a kind and feature pictures of animals, people, places, buildings, etc. The pictures range from family gatherings, candid pictures, family vacations, and flowers. Check them out in my shop.

I've also recently had a great show at Rocky Ripple, and should be in the works of getting my jewelry in a spa at the Indianapolis Airport! Very exciting! :) I've also opened an Artfire shop - so if you're in the Artfire more than Etsy (you don't have to be a member or have Paypal to purchase) check it out here. Happy Fall! <3

Whew Where Does The Time Go?

Well It's been a while since my last post. We didn't have internet as often as we thought we would on our road trip. I've been traveling a lot since the cross country trip - and it's been amazing. The business has been doing great and I've been busy with shows on the weekends and keeping up with my custom orders.

Most recently I've been a part of the Brownsburg Festival of the Arts and the North Salem Old Fashion Days Fair. Both have been great for me and resulted in offers to be in some local shops. Seize The Night Designs is already being sold in the Bleu Dame shop in Canton, Georgia and on their website . Seize The Night is now also being sold in The Craft House in Crawfordsville, Indiana and I'm in the works with Frazee Gardens in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Just TODAY I was asked to make a wholesale order for an awesome shop in Tennessee! It's called the The Lemon Fair and they have the cutest stuff! I'll be making some metal cuff hand stamped bracelets for them and possibly some other custom items. :)

This upcoming weekend I have a show in Broad Ripple, Indiana - the Rocky Ripple Fair on Saturday from 11-6. Come see me and get a coupon for 10% off your next purchase. :)

ROAD TRIP!!

Yay! This wednesday I leave with my good friend Lizz for a cross country road trip. Lizz has decided to try her luck out in L.A. and I'm along for the ride to get the last bits of her stuff out there. :) We're stopping at a lot of awesome places along the way and I'll be posting on here as I have internet access and posting pictures to facebook. :) Can't wait! As a result, of course, all orders placed from March 8th to March 22nd will be shipped out March 22nd.

I had a booth in the CUMNS KIDS Something Old Something New Boutique sale last weekend. It was a great show for winter and had a lot of traffic. :)

I've got a lot of things to still get ready for this trip and I'm super nervous. I'll miss Lizz so much, but it never hurts having a friend on the west coast. :) I'll gladly come visit her whenever she's lonely. :)

Snow Snow More Snow

I've been so sick, and spending all my time keeping up with orders. I can't stand the winter any longer. Especially since today the weather channel is acting like it's the end of the world and we might get up to a foot of snow by tomorrow morning. UGH! This weather has totally ruined my First Friday art gallery plans tonight, so I've decided to catch up on all my internet/paperwork duties. :)

I was just featured on an amazing blog with the post being themed around the upcoming Super Bowl. (p.s. GO COLTS!) Check it out here.

I also have a new design for Valentines day - it's made from polymer clay and looks like initials carved in a tree. Perfect for your valentine. :)

I will also have a booth in the "Something New Something Used Rummage Sale and Boutique" on February 27th from 9-1 at the Castleton United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Come check it out as the profit from the rummage sale supports CUMNS Kids. :) 50% off everything in the Rummage sale from Noon - 1! Castleton United Methodist Church is located at 7101 N. Shadeland Avenue. More information can be found at their facebook event page here.
Hope to see you there!
Oh and one more thing. I recently added Seize The Night to BigCrumbs.com. You can post offers there available to your customers such as coupons, percentage sales, buy one get one sales, $ off sales, etc. :) Easy to link to too! Check it out for great sales from me or to add your own shop! Click here.
20% off till Valentines day for my blog followers too! Let me know in the message to seller box that you follow my blog and I will send you a refund via paypal! :)

Cold and Gray...

It's so hard to be inspired during these cold winter months. It's time like these that make me promise myself I'll spend more time in the park when it's warm or take my dog on more walks. I'm dying to get outside but it's too cold to even go sledding. Ugh.

I've gotten a few new items on the site . New large rivoli Swarovski crystal necklaces on sterling plate are my new favorite. I also have a gold plated Fortune cookie charm that is so sweet I wore it on my birthday. :)

I've also been approached by a website - http://www.bleudame.com/ . They've purchased a bulk amount of 5 different designs of mine, and should be posted soon on their website and in their boutique in Canton, Georgia. I'm excited to see my stuff on there. Check out the website - they have really fun clothes and accessories, and great prices. :)

I also received my acceptance into the Brownsburg Festival of the Arts today, so it will be my second year there. I have my own canopy now, so look for me in the indiviudal artists' booths in July. :)
